Paying for Therapy

Before you begin therapy, our Practice Administrator, Lacy will check your benefits with your insurance company. This is not always a guarantee that sessions are covered, as insurance can be a byzantine labyrinth. In that event, Lacy will reach out ASAP to notify you and help us figure out options for payment.

We want to make therapy accessible to as many folks as possible, while also paying clinicians for their expertise and work. We are in network with the insurance plans listed below. We also have Self-Pay and Sliding Scale options.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina PPO Network

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Blue Care HMO

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Blue High Performance Network

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Blue Home with UNCHA POS (UNC Health Alliance)

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Classic Blue

Sliding Scale Options

Each clinician sets their own minimum on sliding scale rates based on what their needs, comfort and responsibilities are.

Self Pay

The full rate for Self-Pay therapy is currently $180 for individual and $200 for couples and families. There are a lot of reasons why people choose self-pay instead of using their insurance. We are happy to provide documentation to you to get reimbursed by your insurance company if you do want them involved.

United/ Optum

Our fully licensed clinicians are in network with United/ Optum. If there is an “A” at the end of a clinicians credentials (LCSWA, or LCMHCA) they are not able to be in network with United/ Optum.

MedCost-

All of our clinicians are in network with MedCost.

Aetna and State Health Plans

All of our clinicians are in network with Aetna and the State Health Plans, which are managed by Aetna.
